We are KuuHouse, a stay in a village in the sky.
At our 180-year-old traditional Japanese inn, “KuuHouse,” we welcome you as if you were a member of the family, even if it’s your first time here. We have many repeat guests from Japan and Europe. You can harvest local pesticide-free vegetables and ripe fruits from the fields, or enjoy making udon noodles with our grandmother.

We offer customized menus tailored to our guests’ needs, including vegan, vegetarian, sugar-restricted, low-salt, and gluten-free options — all possible because we are a fully-private inn. For dinner, we offer hearth-grilled dishes with homemade side dishes prepared by our grandmother, as well as vegetable chirashi sushi. In the morning, enjoy a hearty plate full of fresh vegetables on the terrace. For guests staying multiple nights, we change the menu for each meal.

Soy sauce, miso, jam, fermented juice, and soy milk are all homemade. Even children who don’t like vegetables will love how delicious everything is! The seasoning is kept mild, so you can fully enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients without overeating carbs like rice.
