Chirashiya is a vegetable sushi specialty restaurant. It opened in 2022 in Kita-Kamakura, a town of shojin cuisine where many Zen temples are located. This vegetable sushi restaurant is inspired by shojin-modoki cuisine and serves sushi that looks like seafood and eggs. Enjoy a new sushi experience, made by the owner, a former Edomae sushi chef. Please check before visiting. We adopt a vegan approach to the selection of ingredients. All dashi is made from plants. We do not use meat, fish, eggs, refined sugar, or honey. We do not use onions (chives, onions, garlic, leeks, and spicy leeks). We cannot remove alcohol, sesame, wheat flour, shiitake mushrooms, or soybeans from our dishes. Payment is by cash only.
